I am very grateful that I was able to follow what life wanted me to do and it seems it is being a yoga teacher. My background was originally corporate, where I eventually started and successfully ran my own retail business in Cambridge for 10 years. Something inside me knew I didn't want to do this for the rest of my life, I was hugely stressed (although I didn't know this at the time) and so I sold my business without knowing what I was going to do.
I then started working self employed with my lifelong passion of horses, where I offered bodywork (massage and myofascial release) and spinal therapy. I was asked regularly if I treated people, and although I had trained to treat people, I decided to carry on just treating horses. Eventually I started to listen to the universe, and thought maybe there is a reason why I am being asked to treat people. And so I rented a room and began treating people. I very quickly became very busy and loved helping people feel better.
I was then invited to take a yoga teacher training. I was interested in increasing my depth of knowledge in yoga and thought it might help my bodywork clients. At this stage I never intended to teach yoga. However life made it very clear that it was time to change, and eventually I made the decision to stop treating people and concentrate on teaching yoga.
And here we are. I am so grateful as I love teaching yoga and mindfulness meditation. I am so passionate about yoga and mindfulness meditation, they have helped my life change so much, physically,mentally, emotionally and spiritually. And so I hope to help others find changes for themselves, to release pain and stress and find peace, joy and balance in your lives.
My passion from a child has always been animals, but particularly horses, and again yoga had helped me so much with riding my horse. I love nature and care about our environment. Before my passion for yoga appeared I practised tai chi and chi gong and also feldencrais and alexander technique.
