YOGA

YOGA IS FOR EVERYONE

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility, balance and breathing to boost physical and mental well-being. The main components of yoga used in a class are postures (a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility) and breathing. However there are 8 limbs of yoga and I teach these in my 10 week yoga courses and my 6 week mindful meditation courses.

Dozens of scientific trials of varying quality have been published on yoga. Most studies suggest yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance. There's some evidence that regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains – including lower back pain, sciatica, neck and shoulder pain – depression and stress.

Yoga works for everyone, whether you are engaged in a desk job, or a professional sports person, maybe you want to lose weight, or are a housewife, retired or a student.

You will find as your flexibility, strength and balance improves in your physical body, that your flexibility, strength and balance of mind will also change.

Private 1-1 Sessions

As well as the yoga classes. I also offer private 1-1 sessions. These sessions are designed for clients with specific physical needs , health needs, for clients wishing to find a deeper sense of well-being and for those that wish to work on a particular posture.
